A couple of months ago, Warner Bros. announced that they were going to premiere the sequel to this Summer’s hit film, Wonder Woman, on December 13, 2019. Now, Lucasfilms’ ninth installment in the Star Wars main saga, the currently untitled Star Wars: Episode IX, will be released one week later, on December 20, and will be directed by J.J. Abrams and co-written by Batman v Superman and Justice League’s Chris Terrio.

This is really not good news for Wonder Woman because Star Wars is currently the more dominant franchise out of the two. The best move for Warner Bros. would be to move the release date like what they did when the original release date of Wonder Woman was moved away from Transformers 5, and when they moved Batman v Superman away from Captain America: Civil War. It certainly gave the film a lot of breathing room and even went on to crush box office records.

What do you think? Would you move Wonder Woman 2 away from Star Wars: Episode IX if you were Warner Bros.? Please share your thoughts below in the comments.
