With only two months left before Justice League is released in theaters, anticipation is at a fever pitch for many, but after the critically panned  Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad films others remain skeptical.
Extensive reshoots after Joss Whedon replaced Zack Snyder add to many of those people’s fears. Other news reports of Ben Affleck leaving the DC Extended Universe or Warner Bros. having Batman in separate universe from the DCEU have only added to the worry about the DCEU as a whole. But if the first reactions to Justice League are to be believed, then the future looks good for the DC Extended Universe and Warner Bros.
Despite signing non-disclosure agreements, some fans that were lucky enough to see a preview of the film have called the film ‘epic’. In one instance, someone that did not like Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice said they loved Justice League.
While this could be the news everyone was hoping for, it’s only fair to point out that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice had similar positive first reactions (But it is also safe to assume those viewings were based on a cut closer to the Ultimate Edition then the theatrical versions which do give credence to the positive reviews). Regardless, let’s hope if it is a great film now, that Warner Bros. doesn’t decide to shorten it to another choppy version that’s difficult to get into or follow.
