It looks like Gotham will have to wait at least another season before getting to see the appearance of classic DC villain, Calendar Man.  While there are quite a few minor villains making an appearance this season, executive producer John Stephens confirms that Calendar Man just wasn’t able to fit in this season.  Stephens did not provide a specific reason as to why Julian Gregory Day won’t be appearing this season, but it is possible there just wasn’t a good enough holiday around for him to take advantage of. Calendar Man would need to be planning an epic holiday themed heist to really do the character justice.
Rest assured, Gotham fans will not have a shortage of villains this season.  With Michael Cerveris as Professor Pyg, Drew Powell returning as Butch Gilzean, now revealed to by Solomon Grundy, and Alexander Siddig as Ra’s al Ghul, Bruce will have plenty of evil to take on as he makes the transition to become Batman.  With so many things happening in Gotham, its clear that producers have a plan, and that Calendar Man will fit in at some point.
Gotham season 4 continues this Thursday, September 28, with episode 2 titled, “The Fear Reaper” at 8 P.M. ET on Fox, so be sure to check it out for all the villains you can handle!
