Batman Anime To Be Released In 2018

According to a panel listing for New York Comic Con, it appears that Batman’s 2018 feature-length anime treatment will have a big name attached.

Batman Ninja is set for release in 2018, with Jumpei Mizusaki directing and Kazuki Nakashima writing. But the big reveal is that Afro Samurai creator Takashi Okazaki is credited as the character designer on a film described as “an eye-popping addition to the Batman animated legacy” and an “imaginative take on Batman and many of his connected characters”.

Leo Chu and Eric Garcia are listed as English-language screenwriters, so expect a translation of the film with English-language voice actors.

The NYCC Batman Ninja panel is scheduled for October 5, 2017 from 12:45pm to 1:45pm EST.
