The cast of Shazam! has been burgeoning over the past few weeks, and right before the year closes, they managed to nab a fan favorite from The Walking Dead television series. Cooper Andrews, who plays Jerry on the genre TV show, has been added to cast and will depict Victor Vasquez, the foster father of Billy Batson, along with his foster siblings, Mary Bromfield, Eugene Choi, Darla Dudley, Freddy Freeman and Pedro Peña.
In the comics, Victor Vasquez has a hostile rapport with Mr. Bryer, the father of two bullies that bane Victor’s foster children. Victor and his wife, Rosa, grew up as orphans as well, which is why they serve as foster parents themselves. The possibility that the characters of Bryer and Rosa, appearing in the film is still unknown. Usually, a well-publicized casting as this, for a cast member on The Walking Dead, typically means their character will be killed off soon, but fans will have to wait and see when the show returns in February.
