The Batman director, Matt Reeves, was a guest on The Q&A with Jeff Goldsmith podcast recently (the episode was published on December 29th) and revealed that he is working on the outline of the film and has been Skyping with Mark Bomback (who co-wrote Planet of the Apes with him), but he is outlining movie on his own.
It has been reported that Reeves has been meeting with actors like Jake Gyllenhaal, so it is doubtful Ben Affleck will return as the Caped Crusader. No news on when we would expect production to start or even casting confirmations, but we are one step closer to the film becoming a reality.
