Batgirl’s Christian WIldgoose Leaving Title For New Project

Batgirl artist Christian Wildgoose is leaving Gotham’s Favorite hipster. According to Newsarama:

“I was offered art duties on a new project for DC which I took on, sadly they needed the work to begin on the new project as soon as possible and so I had to move off of Batgirl just as we’d started the new arc,” Wildgoose told Newsarama. “It was all completely mutual and no ill will at all. It is merely an overlap of deadlines and new projects starting. I knew that I wouldn’t be doing issue 20 for a while but the solicitation for that issue had already been put into print.”

Previous guest artist Sami Basri is stepping in to draw February’s Batgirl #20, while subsequent solicited issues already have other artists advertised.

“I wish nothing but the best for Hope Larson, and the whole Batgirl team,” Wildgoose continued. “They’ll keep Babs kicking ass without me. I had such a blast with them and hope to work with them all again before too long.”

Here is the updated solicitation for Batgirl #20:
