Shazam recently started filming, and Asher Angel shared a picture form behind-the-scenes. He will be blaying Billy Batson to Zachary Levi’s Shazam, and Asher has been open about a more unique prep process for the film as the two characters share one mind. The origin movie is executive produced by Dwayne Johnson, who was originally expected to play Black Adam in the movie, and directed by David F. Sandberg (Annabel: Creation).
There is also a very strong supporting cast slated to appear in the film such as Mark Strong as villain Doctor Sivana, Cooper Andrews and Marta Milans as Billy’s foster parents, Ron Cephas Jones as the Wizard, and Grace Fulton, Jack Dylan Grazer, Ian Chen, and Jovan Armand as Billy’s friends. The film only recently began principal photography, so we can be expected to gain more information about the plot of the movie soon.

Sandberg also recently surprised fans with a sneak peek at the Sivana Industries logo. The entire cast and crew has done a great job of giving away little peeks and previews without revealing too much of the film.
Soon we may even seen photos of the red and gold costume, but whatever the case, it appears that Warner Bros. is wisely reevaluating its promotion strategies after the controversy of Justice League.
