Longtime Vertigo editor Jamie S. Rich has been named group editor of DC Comics’ Batman line, Rich has confirmed to Newsarama.
Rich replaces Mark Doyle, who has returned to his previous post in the company as Vertigo editor, as well as editor of DC’s new creator-focused Black Label imprint.
Before Doyle returned to the role, Rich was Vertigo’s group editor.
Rich has a long history editing comics. He previously served as an editor at Dark Horse Comics and was Oni Press’ editor-in-chief from 1998 to 2004.
