It’s official, folks! Gotham will return for a fifth and final season!
FOX has officially announced that the Batman prequel series has been renewed for more season. Amidst a slew of cancellations by FOX, it was unclear as to whether or not Gotham would actually score a renewal, but after a slight wait, us fans got our wish.
The pickup will allow producers to properly “wrap up” the Batman prequel saga, with the final season focusing on Bruce’s transformation into The Dark Knight.
Check out the synopsis and trailer below:
Jeremiah warns a skeptical Gordon of more destruction coming Gotham’s way, and Gordon is forced to make a potentially devastating decision. Meanwhile, Barbara rallies together a team to secure her position, as alliances in the underworld shift and prove no one can be trusted. Then, Bruce is forced to come to terms with the future.
Starring Ben McKenzie, David Mazouz, Robin Lord Taylor, Cory Michael Smith, Camren Bicondova, Morena Baccarin and scores of others, Gotham airs Thursday nights at 8/7c, with its Season 4 finale set for May 17.
