In a recent interview about her next upcoming movie Terminal, actress Margot Robbie revealed some more details about the production behind the Birds of Prey movie. The actress mentioned how ‘hopefully’ production will begin in January of next year.

Flickering Myth recently sat down with Robbie while she was giving an interview for her next upcoming movie entitled Terminal when of course, the talk turned to her famous role in the DCEU and what fans can expect in the futrue. During the course of the interview, she was asked about what’s next for her when she mentioned that she was developing a Harley Quinn movie. See for yourself down below:

During the course of the interview, Robbie mentioned how she was actively involved in the development of the Birds of Prey movie (she hinted that she might be a producer for this one). She went on to mention that it will be a smaller budget movie with an R rating and she hopes that they can begin filming in January.

Based on the video, you can tell that she is very much looking forward to playing Harley since it has been close to two years since Suicide Squad came out in theaters. She also dropped a little hint that suggested that Harley will have a new look.

On another note, Robbie also mentioned how important it was for her to not only feature diversity behind the camera but in front of the camera as well. When speaking about diversity, she said:

“Yep, yes exactly, real life isn’t so one specific image. We’ve got to reflect that onscreen.”

As to what diversity will mean in front of the camera is yet to be seen considering there are no other casting announcements as of this writing. Robbie also played a big part in acquiring the film’s director Cathy Yan (Dead Pigs, According To My Mother) as well as the screenwriter Christina Hodson (Bumblebee, Unforgettable).
