Gotham creator Bruno Heller has a new TV series on the way. Pennyworth will explore future butler Alfred’s time as a member of the British SAS, who ultimately goes on to work with Thomas Wayne in 1960s London.
The show is scheduled to start filming in London this November and will debut on the Epix channel most likely either in late 2019 or early 2020.
Pennyworth will be a standalone show, not connected to Gotham, and thus actor Sean Pertwee won’t be reprising his role as Alfred.
