The last season of any series has to be it’s biggest, and Gotham is no different.
In 5 seasons, Fox has brought some serious villains to it’s Batman “prequel” series, but now they are bringing in one of the most serious and destructive bad guys that The Dark Knight has ever faced, the man who broke the Bat, Bane!
The first seven episode titles of the upcoming final season have been released, and the show runners haven’t left Bane’s arrival a secret by any means, with episode 8 being titled, “I Am Bane”.
How Bane will arrive is anyone’s guess, but with episode 5 being titled “Pena Dura”, which in Batman-lore is the penitentiary that the super-jacked villain was born in,we’ll find out soon enough. Despite releasing many of Batman’s famous villains into the show, Gotham has always brought their own twist on the characters, so his backstory should be interesting, especially since casting rumors surrounding Bane’s father, Eduardo Dorrance, are real.  One can only assume that a young Bane will appear and be close to the same age as the young Bruce Wayne so being the “juice pumping, ex-luchador turned hitman” will most likely be out of the question.
Gotham returns for a short final season sometime in 2019 on FOX.
