DC Universe’s upcoming Swamp Thing streaming series has added a new character to its cast: Madame Xanadu, to be played by actress Jeryl Prescott (who already has a comics-related property on her resume as a veteran of AMC’s The Walking Dead).
Xanadu is a centuries-old magician who reluctantly joins the battle against dark forces menacing a small Louisiana town. The character debuted in Doorway to Nightmare #1 way back in 1978, but unlike Swamp Thing, this will be her first live action appearance.
Swamp Thing’s pilot episode premieres on the DC Universe streaming service sometime in 2019
