Polly Walker (Line of Duty) has signed onto a recurring role on Epix’s Pennyworth series.
Its been a little while since we heard anything of the upcoming show. It began to pick up traction last October as Gotham announced it would end its run, and fans saw the new show as an alternative to that show. October also saw the casting announcement of Jack Bannon being cast as Alfred, and Ben Aldridge as Thomas Wayne. Now casting has picked up again as Polly Walker has joined the cast.
According to Deadline, Polly Walker has been cast as Peggy Sykes, the sister of Bet Sykes (Paloma Faith). While we know little of the characters, Bet is rumored to be a successful, well-known dominatrix in Lancashire. Peggy however maintains a strict moral code, the sensible sibling.
Pennyworth is scheduled for 10 one-hour episodes on Epix and follows the exploits of a young Thomas Wayne accompanied by a young Alfred Pennyworth as his security detail in jolly ole London.
No premiere date has been announced, but stay tuned!
