Patty Jenkins Defends Chris Pine’s Return In ‘Wonder Woman 1984’

Wonder Woman was a smash hit with fans, movie goers and critics alike and while many credit director Patty Jenkins and star Gal Gadot for the films success there is no doubt that Chris Pine also deserves a lot of the credit for the first movies success too.  Pine’s work as Steve Trevor opposite Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince was the anchor of the films story and no doubt needed for the inevitable sequel, only problem with that is, Steve Trevor died in the conclusion of the first film.

As we all know, death in the superhero world is never a finality and it seems as if Steve Trevor has returned for Wonder Woman 1984.

Recently, director Patty Jenkins told Buzzfeed’s AM to DM:

“It’s interesting, I thought of what this next movie should be in the middle of making the first movie, so it wasn’t a solution to ‘Oh God, that worked out, let’s try to jam you in there’.  It’s all incredibly important to the story.  That’s all I can tell you.”

Many theories have been running wild over the internet as to just how Steve Trevor returns from the “dead” but one thing is certain, if Patty Jenkins says Trevor ‘s return will fit in with the storyline then Trevor’s return will fit with the storyline.
