In an announcement earlier this week, The CW renewed an unprecedented 10 shows for another season including all of the current Arrowverse. This means that in the 2019-2020 TV season: Arrow will return for season 8, Black Lightning will return for season 3, The Flash will return for season 6, Legends of Tomorrow will return for season 5, and Supergirl will also return for season 5.  Batwoman has not been renewed yet as the first episode has yet to air.
This isn’t super surprising considering these season is shaping up to be the most successful season yet after the Elseworlds crossover that teased Crisis on Infinite Earths. The future has exciting things in store for the Arrowverse, but may also have more restrictions as more DC films start coming out. The Arrowverse has been prevented from using certain characters in the past.
