Bring the adventure home this summer! Warner Bros. Home Entertainment announces the release of the latest seasons of Arrow and The Flash are coming to Blu-ray and DVD and will spotlight the 3-part “Elseworlds” event!

The most recent landmark seasons of both Arrow and The Flash will be available to add to your home video library and will be packed with an unprecedented bevy of bonus features that highlight the drama and excitement that have made these original series “must see” viewing year after year. The primetime landscape was irrevocably altered when Stephen Amell stepped into the role of Oliver Queen, Star City’s ardent defender. The character has emerged from behind his hood when introduced in 2012, to paving the way for a serialized narrative of DC heroes on The CW.

Now more popularly known as the Arrowverse the Green Arrow has since been joined by several caped and cowled, masked and metahuman allies, most prominently among them Grant Gustin who has assumed the role of primetime’s Scarlet Speedster. The pair have since inspired a new dawning of legends, and recently turned their universe on its ear with the highly anticipated annual crossover event “Elseworlds” that introduced several new characters into the primetime landscape, reintroduced others and set-up (perhaps) the crossover event to end all crossovers!

Make space on your shelves for these two Blu-ray, DVD sets starring your DC primetime favorites!

In Arrow: The Complete Seventh Season coming to Blu-ray and DVD on August 20, 2019 our Emerald Archer finds himself in a treacherously unlikely situation. After revealing to the world that he is in fact the vigilante that has become popularly known as the Green Arrow, Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) must surrender himself to authorities, and kicks off the newest season as Inmate 4587! This lands Oliver and his friends in the crosshairs of a new group of assassins known as the Longbow Hunters, but that’s only the tip of the arrow, as new dangers come at our heroes from all sides.

Season 7 of Arrow begins with all of the regular cast mostly tossed to the winds, after the series of events that have lead Oliver to take the measures to track down the deadly mob boss Ricardo Diaz. Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) is using herself as bait to trap Diaz in an effort to bring him down and free Oliver, forcing her into an unlikely alliance from a certain siren turned Star City DA. In the meantime Diggle (David Ramsey) has recruited Curtis (Echo Kellum) into ARGUS, as the paramilitary black ops organization goes to task to lure Diaz into a suicide mission.

The penultimate season of Arrow featured the 3-part crossover event “Elseworlds” that teamed Oliver alongside The Flash (Gustin) and Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) against an inter-dimensional threat that has designs on recruiting heroes for a crisis, but in the meantime unleashes an alternate-world of possibilities that include a mission to Gotham City, garnering our trinity of heroes the attention of a particularly mysterious caped crusader and a flash from the past with a message that could save them all from impending doom!

All 22 episodes, including the 3-part “Elseworlds” event will be packaged in the 4-disc set, along with bonus content that features the 2018 Comic-Con Panel, Deleted Scenes, a Gag Reel and a featurette that looks at the making of the “Elseworlds” crossover spectacle.

In The Flash: The Complete Fifth Season also available on Blu-ray and DVD on August 27, 2019 the timeline again becomes compromised, but not because our hero, Central City’s Fastest Man Alive had anything to do with, but because Nora (new season regular Jessica Parker Kennedy) first introduced in Season Four is revealed to be the daughter of Barry Allen (Gustin) and Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton) from the future, who finds herself trapped in the past! Without a clear path home, Nora joins Team Flash as “XS” when the metahuman murderer Cicada (Chris Klein) appears.

There may be more to Nora’s interference to the timeline than she’s leading on, and although she is determined to do right and get to know her father, her inspiration to become a hero herself: The Flash, the more time she spends in the past, the more it compromises the future. Season Five of the hit series also featured the landmark 100th episode of The Flash which takes Barry and Nora on a perilous mission through the series entire chronology and pits Barry face-to-face with some of his most notorious rogues gallery of adversaries.

In the “Elseworlds” crossover Barry and Oliver find themselves in the most unique situation, when the heroes swap existences and superpowers! Only Supergirl (Benoist) remembers who they really are, and the trinity of heroes must step up their game as the all-powerful Monitor (LaMonica Garrett) appears as the harbinger of a crisis that will have a cataclysmic effect on all worlds of the multiverse. The 3-part crossover storyline is included on the Blu-ray Disc release along with all 22 electrifying episodes of the entire season.

Bonus features include the cast’s panel appearance at 2018 Comic-Con, three behind-the-scenes featurettes, Deleted Scenes and Gag Reel, including the aforementioned Making of the “Elseworlds” crossover event. Now that both Arrow and The Flash have wrapped for the summer, this is the best way to binge the action and adventure before the series return in the fall. The upcoming Eighth Season of Arrow will be its last, as The Flash launches into Season Six moving into the pole position in preparation for the 2019’s “Crisis on Infinite Earths” 5-part crossover!
