The DC Universe Movie THE DEATH AND RETURN OF SUPERMAN: The Complete Film Collection presents the ultimate adaptation of the comic book event that shook the publishing world!
The extended DC Universe Movie line has really stepped up its game creating a cohesive continuity of films based on some of the more inspiring arcs published in recent decades. The release of Batman: Hush is a significant stand-out taking one of the most popular of the Caped Crusader’s stories first published in 2002 and created by Jeph Loeb, Jim Lee and Scott Williams and expertly integrated the mystery story into the animated realm. Another recent animated movie release took on DC’s most profound publishing event, The Death of Superman first published in 1993.
The epic storyline was actually the inaugural film in the DC Animated Movie line; Superman: Doomsday ushered in the Warner Bros. Animation age of profoundly unique animated feature-length adventures. The Man of Steel’s most exciting story arc was also given a proper reboot in the recently available animated adventures The Death of Superman which more accurately built on the brutal first meeting between Superman and his nemesis Doomsday. In the follow-up film The Reign of the Supermen audiences witnessed the resurrection of the Last Son of Krypton.
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and DC are proud to announce The Death and Return of Superman Complete Film Collection a comprehensive compilation of the two previously released feature-films properly re-edited into a 166-minute epic — with never-before-seen footage.
