Believe it or not, Arrow will take its final bow in just two weeks, thereby successfully concluding an epic eight-season run. And when that night comes, The CW will assure that the TV show which spawned an entire shared universe will go out in style.
That’s right, not only will the series finale grace our screens on Tuesday, January 28th, but a retrospective special will precede it. Whether a dry eye will be looking on remains to be determined, but we have the first official details right here.
First, at 8 pm Eastern, the retrospective titled “Hitting the Bullseye” will drop, and here’s the skinny on that bad boy:
A CELEBRATORY EPISODE – Get ready for the finale with cast interviews from Stephen Amell and the cast of “Arrow,” and executive producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Beth Schwartz. Original airdate 1/28/2020.
Then, at 9 pm Eastern, “Fadeout” will bring the Emerald Archer’s incredible journey to a close. The official synopsis is somewhat cryptic, but here it is:
STEPHEN AMELL SIGNS OFF AS THE GREEN ARROW; EMILY BETT RICKARDS RETURNS FOR THE SERIES FINALE OF “ARROW” – After eight seasons, and the launch of countless superheroes, the series wraps up the story of the Green Arrow (Stephen Amell). Emily Bett Rickards returns as Felicity. James Bamford directed the episode written by Marc Guggenheim & Beth Schwartz (#810). Original airdate 1/28/2020.
I know that doesn’t give us all that much to go on, and it’s doubly hard to forecast the finale when the conclusion to “Crisis on Infinite Earths” hadn’t aired at the time of this writing. But hey, it should be quite intriguing to see how Felicity makes her return, given what went down when we last saw her.
