The Stargirl premiere finally has a set date.
The new live-action series executive produced by Stargirl’s creator, Geoff Johns – the new Earth-2 as of the CW’s Crisis On Infinite Earths – will premiere on the DC Universe streaming service May 11th. The CW will then re-air the pilot on May 12th and be available on the CW app May 13th.
The Stargirl Premiere – Where to Find It!
Starring Brec Bassinger as Courtney Whitmore/Stargirl and Luke Wilson as stepfather Pat Dugan/S.T.R.I.P.E., the series has not forgotten about The Justice Society of America. Wildcat, Hourman, Doctor Mid-Nite, and others will come. It remains to be seen, however, if the a version of the Jay Garrick Flash will make an appearance. Garrick has been featured prominently on The Flash, played by John Wesley Shipp. Since Jay – now retired – was on Earth-3, and the universe had been rebooted, his fate is yet to be determined. However, Green Lantern will most assuredly not be on the roster unless the CW breaks the rules with John Diggle.
A version of Wildcat – Ted Grant – has already made a CW appearance on the third season of Arrow. That version, played by J.R. Ramirez, ran The Wildcat gym and trained Laurel Lance, but had been a vigilante prior to Oliver Queen’s return home.
Be first to watch Stargirl on DC Universe on May 11th and stay tuned for more developments.
