Summary

Batwoman 1×16: Still reeling from the death of Cartwright at her own hands, Kate has been struggling with her role as Batwoman lately. While attempting to interrogate a criminal she stops short of almost killing him. Meanwhile, Luke Fox is dealing with his own issues as his father’s murderer is set to be released from jail.

Batwoman 1x16

Positives

As I mentioned in my summary above, Kate is still reeling from the death of the criminal Cartwright in her hands. While attempting to interrogate a suspect, she stops short of almost killing him. It’s later revealed that Alice manipulated things into place so that Kate would kill Cartwright, just so she would have blood on her hands. I have to admit the mastery of it all when Alice explained it, and it left me stunned. Elsewhere Luke Fox had his own problems to deal with when his father’s accused killer is set free from prison. Luke goes to confront the murderer, but all is not what it seems. It looks as if Luke will be getting a storyline soon and I can’t wait for it personally.

Batwoman 1x16

Negatives

I actually have no complaints about this episode. Kate and Jacob end up manipulating Alice and placing her right back where she belongs. Hopefully this ends the Kate and Alice storyline. I was very much satisfied with the way things ended here, so I hope they don’t bring anything back up needlessly. Kate and Jacob’s father and daughter relationship seems to be repaired and I hope it stays that way.

Verdict

“Through The Looking Glass” was a great episode and gave us a satisfying conclusion between these sisters. Now it seems the focus can be on Luke Fox and the mystery behind Lucius’ murder. I want Batwoman and Jacob to come to terms eventually like Gordon and Batman, but I know things happen in time. Their dedication to justice is tireless, and it’s shown great in this episode. I can’t wait to see what happens next!
