No doubt about it, DC FanDome kicked off with a bang!
The first panel of the day focused on the highly anticipated Wonder Woman 1984. In a perfect world, we would’ve seen this flick back in June, but COVID-19 prevented that from happening. In hope for a fall debut, director Patty Jenkins – along with cast members Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig and Pedro Pascal – answered fan questions and even rolled out the highly anticipated second trailer.
So, without further ado, here’s the latest look at the Amazon Warrior’s next silver screen adventure.
Looks pretty cool, huh?
As you can see, Wiig’s Barbara Minerva does indeed go full Cheetah at some point. Furthermore, the 1980’s aesthetics should provide both great nostalgia and comedic relief in a film that will no doubt kick tons of ass.
It’s worth mentioning that Jenkins stated “we believe in putting it in the cinema,” but we can’t be too certain as to whether the pandemic will force WB to release this via On Demand services. The end of the trailer did say “only in theaters,” so we’ll just have to wait and see.
For now, though, Wonder Woman 1984 is slated for an October 2nd opening.
