Harley Quinn Officially Renewed For Season 3

That’s right, folks! Harley Quinn and her crazy band of a#%&@!#s are returning for a third season!!

Earlier today, DC announced that DC Universe will no longer house TV shows and movies, and will instead be transitioning to a full comic book subscription service called DC Universe Infinite, starting this January.

However, tucked into that press release was the official announcement that the Harley Quinn animated series would be coming back for a third season on HBO Max.

This comes as no real surprise, as this was probably DCU’s most touted series, and for good reason. It’s such a fantastic show, so much so that we here at DC Comics News started a podcast where we breakdown the series, episode by episode. Be sure to check out Mad Love: A Harley Quinncast on all your major podcast providers.

And with Doom Patrol getting a third season pick up by HBO Max, it was just a matter of time before we heard official word on Harley Quinn, and I’m so thrilled we have.

Here is the official announcement from DC:

HBO Max will be the home for premium video content that will include new DC series, key DC classics and DC UNIVERSE originals like Young Justice Seasons 1-4, Titans Seasons 1-3, Doom Patrol Seasons 1-3, and DC’s Stargirl Season 1. Additionally, HBO Max has ordered a third season of Warner Bros. Animation’s critically acclaimed DC UNIVERSE adult animated comedy series Harley Quinn, starring Kaley Cuoco, who also served as executive producer during the first two seasons along with Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker, Dean Lorey, and Sam Register.  Harley Quinn will be a Max Original going forward, and all three seasons of the show will be available.

This is very exciting news for all DC fans, as it shows that WarnerMedia still has faith in what DC is putting out and will continue to bring us the quality content we deserve and desire.

Let us know your thoughts on this breaking news and whether or not you’re excited for season 3 of Harley Quinn.
