New Batman Podcasts are on the way from Spotify and HBO Max! First up is Batman: The Audio Adventures. It will be released exclusively on HBO Max in the fall and will draw inspiration from the 1960s Batman series and Batman: The Animated Series. the series will be produced in partnership with Warner Bros. and DC and is written and directed by Dennis McNicholas. The scripted series will star Jeffrey Wright as Batman, Rosario Dawson as Catwoman and John Leguizamo as the Riddler.
Next up is Batman Unburied. Winston Duke will voice Bruce Wayne in the series, which is exec produced by David S. Goyer. Jason Isaacs will voice loyal butler, Alfred. According to sources: “When audiences meet Bruce Wayne he is a forensic pathologist, working in the bowels of Gotham Hospital and tasked with examining the victims of The Harvester, a gruesome serial killer preying on Gotham’s citizens. Not only will the Super-Hero be forced to face his own mental demons, but he will also have to overcome them in order to save the citizens of Gotham as his alter-ego Batman”. It is set to be the highest profile scripted podcasts ever.
Fans just can’t get enough of the Dark Knight and now soon they will have even new mediums to enjoy Batman stories! No release given for either yet, but we will keep you posted!
