In the tweet, Dwayne quoted a possible line from the film: “You’re right. Superheroes don’t kill bad people. But I do.” That says it all about the attitude of this centuries-old demigod going forward. Based on previous teasers offered in two DC FanDomes, the film will not only follow Black Adam’s rise and fall in ancient Khandaq, but a tumultuous relationship with present-day protectors, The Justice Society of America. The script may be based upon the recent origin of Black Adam, which was interwoven into the New 52 reboot of Shazam. That treatment was used as the basis for the successful 2018 film, but Black Adam was replaced by Dr. Sivana as the main antagonist given his story needed to be established separately from Shazam. The film also stars Pierce Brosnan, Sarah Shahl, Noah Centineo, Aldis Hodge, and Quintessa Swindell.
