Gotham Knights officially has a scheduled release date.
The long-delayed game from WB Games Montreal has announced on Twitter the co-op game will hit platforms on October 22, 2022. Initially, the game had been planned for release in 2021, but the pandemic caused significant delays. Up until now, the company had only confirmed a release this year.
This will be the first Batman-centric game released since Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham Knight. Further, it is also the debut of The Court of Owls on a video game format. Created by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo in The New 52, the shady secret empire of Gotham has loomed large in the Dark Knight’s life. Its first live-action debut was on the FOX prequel series Gotham. With regards to The Bat-Family, it’s the first full-length game where Batman’s proteges take center stage. One classic villain confirmed for the game is Mister Freeze.
