On May 30th, Maroon 5 released their video, “Maroon 5 – Girls Like You ft. Cardi B.” It’s wholesome, lovable, and carries some of the most inspirational actresses.
Gal Gadot appears and lip sings behind Adam Levine, Maroon 5’s lead singer. Also, the fun bisexual superhero points at you when Adam Levine says “Girls like you,” and your heart can fluster. Others include comedian Sarah Silverman, Supergirl, Millie Bobby Brown from Strange Things, famous Olympian Gymnast, Aly Raisman who rallied the biggest group of survivor warriors, and Ellen Degeneres. All women of wonder.

The song is beautiful and inspirational. I feel the video is inclusive of genders and sexualities and experiences because of the audience Maroon 5 invited. The song itself comments on how rare it is to find a girl like you. Whether you’re straight, bi, queer, demisexual, or ace; seeing all these amazing heroines together cheering the other one, its something the world needs. How many icons and faves can you find?
