In the wake of the joint statements from both Stephen Amell and her collaborators Marc Guggenheim and Greg Berlanti, Arrow showrunner and executive producer Beth Schwartz has solidified her future with a multi-year contract with Warner Bros. Studios.
Long before joining the production team to chronicle the exploits of Oliver Queen (Amell) as one of the writers on the explosive first season of Arrow back in 2012, Schwartz had first worked as Berlanti’s assistant on his WB series Everwood, followed by writing credits for Brothers and Sisters. She was promoted to executive producer on Arrow in the sixth season, and replaced the ousted Andrew Kreisberg amidst sexual allegation rumors to the series’ showrunner. With Berlanti and Guggenheim, Schwartz announced recently that Arrow will end its run with a limited ten-episode eighth season.
