Summary

My Adventures With Superman 2×10Superman, Kara, Lois, and Jimmy team up to fight Brainiac; Superman has to choose between saving Earth and saving the people he loves; it’s truth, justice, and a better way clashing with the might of Krypton.

Positives

With the massive Kryptonian ship hanging over Metropolis, Superman continues his battle against Brainiac and his drones all over the city. Even with Supergirl’s assistance, it’s still not enough. To make matters worse, Brainiac has corrupted Luthor’s drones and have turned them against Superman and Supergirl. Luthor’s drones, powered by kryptonite, launch a relentless attack against the duo. Thanks to the intervention a few of Superman’s adversaries, Superman and Supergirl are able to make it to the top of Brainiac’s floating citadel to confront the mad intelligence once and for all.

Negatives

I have no complaints about this episode. I know you’ve seen me say this quite a few times in these reviews, and since this is the last one for the second season I’d like to explain it here. This episode, like the ones previously, has amazing characters and development between them. Even the supporting characters such as Vicki Vale or Perry White can be used in a scene, and it has yet to feel rushed or not needed. Even when Superman’s villains show up to help, it seemed completely logical.

Verdict

“My Adventures with Supergirl” was a great finale that answers a lot of questions but also leaves you with more. Kara decides to become a permanent resident of Earth, of course, but in the wake of the showdown with Brainiac, Superman’s enemies have learned a lot. Plans are being made for the future, and Superman and Supergirl, along with Lois and Jimmy, will have to be prepared. Overall, a great conclusion to the second season and I’m eager to see what season three will have in store for us.
