The latest Batman and Robin animated movie has cast the voice talent to bring the characters into this new adventure that is based on some of the most recent stories from the New 52. Simply titled Batman Vs Robin, the movie will see release this Spring.
It seems that the next Batman and Robin animated movie will somewhat follow the “Court of Owls” story line from the New 52. Jay Oliva, the director of The Dark Knight Returns and most recently Batman: Assault on Arkham, will be taking charge of Batman Vs Robin. Oliva also handled storyboards for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.
As for the voices, the cast was announced as Jason O’Mara as Batman, Sean Maher as Robin and David McCallum as Alfred. The voice for the Talon has also been announced as Jeremy Sisto. And in a surprise casting both “Weird” Al Yankovic will voice The Dollmaker and Kevin Conroy will not be voicing Batman, rather Thomas Wayne, Batman’s father.
Other castings include Peter Onorati as Draco, Robin Atkin Downes as Grandmaster and Grey Griffin as a character named Samantha. It’s going to be a guess to see how close the movie is to the series of comics. Justice League: War was very close with a few major changes and a few minor changes.
Justice League: Throne of Atlantis is the next entry in the DC animated universe and Batman Vs Robin is said to be released this Spring and will share the same universe as the other DC animated movies like Son of Batman and Justice League: War.
