CBS’ Supergirl has found its Jimmy Olsen in the form of Mehcad Brooks (True Blood, Desperate Housewives). The character is described as follows:
Jimmy, based on the DC Comics character, is an attractive photographer at CatCo, the media company where Kara Zor-El works as an assistant to Cat Grant (yet to be cast). Recently, Jimmy has been living and working in National City, though the reason is still a secret.
Olsen has been known to be a close friend and sometimes love interest for the Girl of Steel, so we’ll have to see how their relationship develops.
Still yet to be cast are the roles of Cat Grant, Winslow Schott, and Hank Henshaw. Stay to tuned DCN as pilot shooting season approaches because more casting news is no doubt around the corner.
