Arrow star Stephen Amell teases season four’s fall premiere, including some trouble for Thea Queen, as well as a minor time jump.
Oliver Queen may have driven off into the sunset with Felicity Smoak after Arrow‘s season three finale, leaving his bow and arrows behind, but it won’t be long before Queen makes his return to Starling City.
Fans won’t have to wait until Comic-Con 2015 for a glimpse into season four. Answering fan questions over Twitter, Amell teased Oliver’s inevitable return to Starling City, namely that Oliver’s sister Thea (Willa Holland) would find herself in danger while patrolling the Glades clad in red leather.

However Speedy’s dilemma shakes out, Amell also offered over Facebook that the season four premiere would pick up  5 to 6 months after the events of the finale, although the 401 script left Amell with questions for executive producer Marc Guggenheim.
Time has passed. Like the standard amount of time. We go in real-time, like we normally do. So, about five, six months have passed since the finale. […]
[My jaw] legitimately [dropped twice]. I emailed/texted Marc Guggenheim directly after reading the Season 4 premiere with three or four very pointed questions. Which he answered … mostly.
Arrow‘s fourth season is expected to focus on DC villains H.I.V.E. and Damien Darhk and may also feature flashbacks amid Green Lantern’s hometown of Coast City. Current Co-EP Wendy Mericle has been promoted to co-showrunner alongside Marc Guggenheim, and Punisher: War Zone director Lexi Alexander will direct an episode.
Will Oliver Queen live up to his namesake? Arrow returns in the Fall.
