‘Wonder Woman’ Hits $650 Million To Become Top-5 Grossing Film Of 2017

Wonder Woman continues to slay at the box office with Patty Jenkins’ blockbuster surpassing the $650 million mark worldwide this weekend.

This number, however, does not make it enough to beat Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 which grossed $850+ million just yet, and with further blockbusters such as Spider-Man: Homecoming, Thor: Ragnarok, Despicable Me 3, War for the Planet of the Apes and Star Wars: The Last Jedi yet to be released it’s unlikely to hold onto this position.

This is by no means a bad thing; not only is it already one of the most profitable movies of 2017 it has also beaten the studios expectations, garnering acclaim from critics and audiences alike and becoming the biggest DC film to date that doesn’t include ‘Batman’.

Domestically ‘Wonder Woman’ cruised past the $300 million mark this weekend, heading to a $350+ million domestic haul, making it the biggest DCEU release in North America topping Man of Steel, Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad.

Help keep the momentum going, go see Wonder Woman in theatres now!
