With Zack Snyder taking some personal time and passing the helm to Joss Whedon, exactly which one of JUSTICE LEAGUE’s directors is expected to appear at this year’s biggest and greatest Comic-Con event?
After suffering a very personal family tragedy Justice League director and the key holder of the extended DC Comics cinematic universe Zack Snyder brought in Marvel’s Avengers filmmaker Joss Whedon to finish up and tighten much of the film, which has been in reshoots all summer in London in anticipation of its worldwide release in November.
The expectations are high for this gathering of the greatest heroes in comics, and fans are already hyped to catch some early footage and a presentation at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con where the film’s cast are scheduled to appear in a panel and take audience’s questions, but many are wondering whether Snyder or Whedon will be stepping onto the stage next month.
We can report that Whedon has suggested he will not be attending SDCC citing that this will be only the second time in the last 20 years that he will not be at the industry’s most celebrated fan favorite con of the season. There is also a very good chance the Whedon will be putting the final touches on Justice League next month as it continues to go through post-prodcution.
Chances are that Snyder will be present at SDCC especially given that the filmmaker has often flown in for the event, and this year he is only a short drive from the convention center and Hall H! Given the warm reception he’s been receiving year after year, this may be the perfect moment for Snyder to surround himself with fans.
SDCC will begin this year on Thursday, July 20 and runs though Sunday, July 23.
