The cast is really stacking up for FOX Network’s Gotham, a show we might potentially see next Autumn. Said to be about the rise of James Gordon, played by Ben McKenzie, from police officer to commissioner in the ranks of the Gotham City Police Department. Some pretty big names, from Jada Pinkett Smith to Donal Logue have been attached to this production, and now we know who will play Gotham City’s favorite son, Bruce Wayne: David Mazouz!
Mazouz, whose first name is pronounced “DAH-veed,” is currently the star of FOX’s Touch, and has been acting professionally since he was eight years old. That’s not all the casting news we’ve got! We’ve also learned that Carmen Bicondova has been cast as a young Selina Kyle, who we all know will ultimately grow up to be Catwoman. Bicondova is a relative newcomer to acting, and we’re very excited to see her prove her stuff in and on Gotham.
FOX has waived the normal pilot phase for new television shows and has signed this up directly for a season beginning this September, if all goes well. We’ll certainly be on the look out for any scrap of information we can get!
