Details of the new Constantine TV show have been leaked earlier this week. After the photo from the set and the character portrait was released it was only a matter of time before details about the plot were leaked.

According to ShockTilYouDrop.com the pilot takes place in and around New York City which is a far shot from London but we will see where it leads.
When we first find John, we learn he has voluntarily checked himself into a psychiatric clinic. He’s haunted by an incident in which he lost a 9-year-old girl to a demon who has dragged her soul to hell. John is also the smart-ass we expect him to be, His business card reads “Exorcist, Demonologist and Master of the Dark Arts,” but as he tells his doctor, he should replace “master” with “petty dabbler.” He won’t be in the trench coat for a bit but he will don the coat a bit later. John hates angels but an angel named Manny and according to ShockTilYouDrop.com has been assigned to John to help ease his soul into damnation.
But the most interesting development from all this info and the rest is that acclaimed character Papa Midnite. Yes Big Papa himself is making an appearance in the Constantine pilot. He is seen as an imposing Cuban who has a talent of dreaming the future. He is said to be taking a lot of cocaine to stay awake. Another character making the move to the show is the long timed ally of Constantine is Chaz, in the show will be tall, sensitive, quiet type yet is quite knowledgeable about the supernatural himself.
The pilot will be written and directed by David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight) and Daniel Cerone (the Mentalist) and the series is directed by Neil Marshall (Game of Thrones). The pilot is said to air by the end of this year.
