Since SDCC a full length trailer for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice has been in high demand. A few times over the course of the year fans, including me, got their hopes up for a trailer to debut during the Superbowl or The Academy Awards. It was announced today that the Batman V Superman trailer will one-hundred percent be attached to Mad Max: Fury Road. May 15th is opening night for Fury Road, but even more exciting is the first extended look at Dawn of Justice.
It seems that Warner Bros. doesn’t want to compete with the buzz surrounding Avengers: Age of Ultron. Age of Ultron is sure to rule the internet for most of April and May. By the time Mad Max hits theatres Age of Ultron will have already been out for a couple of week. This is probably the smartest decision from a marketing standpoint. Also, it makes perfect sense that the Dawn of Justice trailer would be attached to Mad Max considering it will be WB’s first big release of the year.
Of course plans could change and we could see the trailer a little bit earlier. I say the earlier the better. I am extremely anxious to see anything at all from the film. I can only assume that sometime before the official trailer debut that some sort of leak will happen. A few lucky fans will be online to get a first look at BvS before the leaked trailer is taken down. That is just a hypothetical of course. In any case, the one certain fact is that we will all get our look at Batman V Superman on May 15th.
Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel follow-up will be the first big screen team-up of Supes and the Dark Knight. Wonder Woman and Aquaman will both be making appearances as well. I’m sure we’re all gonna get a few surprises and maybe even a few more heroes. Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is sure to be one of the biggest movies of 2016.
