Fans set world record for most people dressed as DC heroes.

In a event organized by Warner Bros. Consumer Products and DC Entertainment, DC fans have set a new Guinness World Record for the most people dressed as DC Comics Superheroes.

On Saturday thousands of DC fans took part in a global effort to set the new record. The event lasted 24 hours, starting in Queensland, Australia and ending with a commemorative close in Los Angeles, USA.

 “Thanks to all the fans of DC Comics Super Heroes around the world who joined us to set a world record—a record that celebrates the power and appeal of these iconic characters,”  – Brad Globe, President of Warner Bros. Consumer Products.

People came together from around the world to set the record, with events taking place in Taiwan, the Philippines, Brazil, Mexico, The UK, Spain, Italy, France, Australia, and the US.

To participate fans had to be dress as a recognizable DC Comics Superhero. The list of heroes included Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Arrow, Supergirl, Batgirl, and many more.

Fans are now using the hashtag #DCWorldRecord on facebook and twitter to show off their participation and their awesome costumes.
