Summary

After making the ultimate sacrifice, Ragman has fallen right into Z’Dargill’s trap. With the help of his friends’ spirits, Ragman must will himself to return to the battlefield and defeat Z’Dargill once and for all. The epic finale of RAGMAN is here!

Positives

In this issue, Rory, fights for his own soul, as he sees his fallen comrades in his comatose state, who try to revive him so he can fight another day. This is a rather solemn moment for this character and this book as a whole. Meanwhile, Etrigan and Ystin are still fighting Z’Dardgill’s army, as they still believe victory may be at hand.

Rory gets a second wind in time to defeat them, an unexpected but timely twist. Rory uses his fallen comrades souls as a source of power to defeat Z’Dargill, a rather poetic and moving exposition of who this character has been in this story, a man of pure heart and soul.

Lastly, the ending puts a nice bow on a rather action-packed story, leaving readers hopeful for this character’s return.

Negatives

There are no negatives worth mentioning in this issue.

Verdict

Worth the buy, as this issue pays off on the whole series in what the story was building up to and how it ends.
