This years San Diego Comic-Con has been the central hub for all things Batman.  So, it’s no surprise that LEGO decided to release some new information about their upcoming video game, LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham.

The first thing I want to discuss is the release of the very first full length trailer for the game, which you can watch below:

The trailer above shows the famous Justice League in action against Batman’s nemesis the Joker and a legion of other baddies hailing from the DC Comics universe. Of course, everything has been given that special Lego games-flavored brand of humor, so while the situation may look dire, it’s not too dire for a few silly jokes.

Next, they announced several characters set to make their appearance in the game, including Shazam, Billy Batson, Clark Kent, Booster Gold and Skeets, Krypto the Superdog, Bat-Cow, and Mr. Mxyzptlk.

Not only did Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and TT Games announce these characters, but they also dropped the bomb that the Adam West version of Batman will also be in the game, voiced by the man himself. If that wasn’t enough, you can also drive the Batmobile from the classic television series as well.

And also, going along with LEGO offering up an exclusive “The Batman of Zur-en-Arrh” mini-figure during preview day, the character will also be making an appearance in the game as well.

In addition to getting hands-on time with the game at Comic-Con this week, attendees of the show can stop by the LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham panel on Sunday, July 27 at 1:00 and get posters signed by the game’s voice actors at 2:30 in the DC Comics booth.

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham will launch later this year for the Xbox One, Xbox 360,mPlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, as well as for PC.

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham is the next instalment to the blockbuster LEGO Batman: The Videogame and LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes videogames. To-date, LEGO videogame sales have reached more than 100 million units worldwide.
