New footage for the newest installment in the LEGO Batman franchise – LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, has been released at Gamescom, featuring Batman, Superman, Flash, Cyborg and a plethora of  other DC Comics characters.
Like in previous installments, players will be able to play as their chosen characters, sometimes at will, other times depending on which abilities and characters you need to accomplish determined tasks. You will be able to play and choose from a gallery of up to 150 characters – Â a must have for all DC Comics fans. The game includes not only heroes, but villains as well, Superman villains in the leagues of Lex Luthor or Batman rogues like Firefly. You can even choose to play as the 60’s Batman, voiced by Adam West, whom displays some unique characteristics from the classic version we saw in television back in the days.
The footage shown at Gamescom features the multiplayer experience, with Cyborg rapidly changing into the variety of suits he has, while Batman displays a varied arsenal of gadgets. The footage also throws The Flash into the mix, adding more fun and variety to the mission, just showing how rich this game can be while continuing with almost the same gameplay mechanics from previous games.
The game follows Batman and the Justice League as they chase the League of Doom to the edges of the known universe while also continuing from where the last game left off, with Brainiac using the lanterns rings to increase his intergalactic collection.
LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham is developed by Traveller’s Tales, it is set to be released for PS3, PS4, PS Vita, PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, Mac OS X, and iOS on the third or fourth quarter of 2014.
