Jeremy Irons, who is to star alongside Ben Affleck as his humble butler, Alfred Pennyworth, spoke about his latest portrayal. For Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Jeremy Irons advised that this Alfred will be “more hands-on” assisting Batman on his crusade against crime and injustice, and if the name of the movie suggests anything, he will most likely assist against the Man of Steel himself.
Reporters caught up with Jeremy Irons at the International Film Festival, where he discussed his role in Batman V Superman, he stated –
 “He is quite a different Alfred than we have seen so far. Zack Snyder had very clear views about what he wanted,” he said. “I would just say he’s more hands-on perhaps than just a butler.”
Though Irons has stated his role in the movie isn’t as large as some fans would hope, but from what he has suggested, we could be looking at new and exciting portrayal of Alfred, perhaps more similar to Geoff John’s critically acclaimed Batman: Earth One.
Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, directed by Zack Snyder, is set for a US release on March 25th, 2016.
