Michelle MacLaren no longer directing ‘Wonder Woman’

Michelle MacLaren has pulled out of directing Wonder Woman due to creative differences.

Michelle MacLaren will no longer be directing the upcoming Wonder Woman film. In a statement released by Warner Bros., creative differences were cited as the reason behind MacLaren leaving the project.

“Given creative differences, Warner Bros. and Michelle MacLaren have decided not to move forward with plans to develop and direct ‘Wonder Woman’ together,”

Wonder Woman was set to be released in June, 2017. However, with the film currently in the middle of pre-production, this latest news raises questions concerning its production schedule.

Warner Bros. is also in the process of locking in some of the uncast roles. Its was rumored the Scott Eastwood, who will be appearing in the upcoming Suicide Squad movie, was in line to play Wonder Woman’s love interest Steve Trevor. According to Variety, however, Eastwood will not by playing Steve Trevor and that four unnamed actors will be testing for the role.

Gal Gadot is still set to star as the lead.
