The CW has released the official synopsis for one of the most anticipated episodes, a Grodd-centric one: ”Grodd Lives”.
Grodd was one of the characters less likely to appear in the show because of the great effort it takes to build up a CGI Gorilla for TV and because of the scientific realism both Arrow and The Flash were set to keep, among other reasons. However the writers took a leap of faith. And it sure did pay off. Fans just want to see more and more of the most famous ape on TV (after Curious George of course).
Grodd has been teased to appear on the show since the beginning of Season 1. However until this date, Barry does not know anything about Grodd.
GRODD RETURNS! — Barry (Grant Gustin) must deal with the Reverse Flash’s (Tom Cavanagh) latest threat to a member of the group. To make matter worse, Dr. Wells unleashes Grodd on the city in order to distract Barry and the team. Joe (Jesse L. Martin), Barry and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) head down into the sewers to catch Grodd but the gorilla quickly gets the upper hand after he kidnaps Joe. Iris (Candice Patton) and Barry have a heart to heart talk. Dermott Downs directed the episode written by Grainne Godfree & Kai Yu Wu (#121). Original airdate 5/5/2015.
The Flash’s “Grodd Lives” airs at 8:00-9:00 p.m. ET on The CW this coming Tuesday.
