FanArt: So Much Harley

After the release of the official cast photo of the Suicide Squad the internet went crazy with opinions. It seemed that everybody had something to say about the costume or look of each squad member. More than any other Will Smith as Deadshot and Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn set off the most controversy. Right off the bat many disagreed with the casting of The Fresh Prince. In my opinion Will Smith actually makes the perfect Deadshot. From Wild Wild West to Bad Boys and I, Robot to I am Legend I can’t think of a more well suited person to play the character. He’s quick and witty with his words and his resume really does speak for itself. Action/Sci-Fi is Smith’s forte and Suicide Squad is right up that alley. Say what you will but he is going to put nay-sayers down on August 5th, 2016.

Even over Deadshot, Harley Quinn has taken a beating in social media. In this case it’s not over the casting it is over the costume choice. I will be the first to say that deep down I did want to see the classic jester look. Although after seeing the updated look for the big screen I am in no way disappointed. Realistically the jester outfit wouldn’t make sense in this chaotic and edgy DC Cinematic Universe. An homage would be nice, but I won’t hold my breath. In honor of all this Harley Quinn business I thought I would put together a few of my favorite Margot Robbie inspired pieces of fan art. ENJOY!

As the filming and production of Suicide Squad progresses one thing remains up in the air. Will we get a leaked shot of Margot Robbie and Jared Leto together as Harley Quinn and her Mr. J? I can’t be the only one hoping something like this surfaces in the following weeks. Go hit the comments section and let us know what you think. What are your favorite and least favorite things about the upcoming Suicide Squad movie?
