Grant Gustin has posted a heartfelt thank-you message to fans in the lead up to the season one final of The Flash.

Yesterday Gustin took to Facebook to post what started as a standard promo for the season final of The Flash. The message, however, soon turned into an emotional thank-you message to both fans and the people behind the show.

“AGAIN, I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for tuning in to our show all season and making it the hit that it has become. Every time I stop and think about the fact that I get to play The Flash and Barry Allen and there are people out there that love our show… I can’t even fully explain it to be honest.”

Gustin stepped into the limelight playing Barry Allen on the CW’s hit show The Flash, a spin-off from CW’s Arrow and the winner of this year’s People Choice Award for ‘Favorite New TV Drama’. Before taking the lead role on The Flash, Gustin was relatively unknown having previously only starred in small recurring roles on Glee and 90210.

The show’s success clearly made a mark on Gustin who thanked fans for helping to make The Flash a hit. He then went on to thank the crew and his fellow cast members, listing just about everyone who had a hand in making the series.

“…for me being relatively “new” to the business and having never been a regular a show before, getting to work with all of those actors and watching them help bring our show to life always made it feel like that much more of an authentic world to me.”

Fans, in turn, have replied with there own messages to Gustin, and the rest of the cast and crew, thanking them for their amazing hard work on the show.
