Back in February of 2007, Warner Bros. announced a live action Justice League film to be directed by George Miller, an Australian filmmaker. The cast was said to include Armie Hammer as Batman, DJ Cotrona as Superman, Megan Gale as Wonder Woman, Adam Brody as The Flash, Common as Green Lantern, Santiago Cabera as Aquaman, and Hugh Keays-Byrne as Martian Manhunter.

The film was all ready to start rolling until it was canceled just a few days before filming was set to start. No artwork, promotion, or other material was ever released for the film, however the title Justice League Mortal was given given to the project.

Now, Australian director Ryan Unicomb has complied a creative team of producers Aaron Carter and Steve Caldwell, as well as accomplished writer Maria Lewis, to create an all access feature length documentary, giving a behind the scenes look into the real reason behind the projects cancelation. The documentary, which will be titled Miller’s Justice League Mortal, will exists alongside Jodorowsky’s Dune (2013) and The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened? which is coming out later this year.

The documentary is aiming to feature interviews with some of the proposed cast, exclusive artwork, and ultimately a non-biased look into the cancelation of the film and the effect that had on the Australian Film Industry.

Filming for the project is aiming to start later this year.
