DC Comics released eleven new Convergence titles, dare we say, a convergence of titles reaching a climactic end to the worlds-shattering, unraveling comic book event. What does the future hold for our heroes of all eras of the DC Comics universe as they fight to save our existence?
For the past nine weeks, some of the best writers and artists in comics have brought some of the most beloved versions of our heroes and villains back to the comic page for one more big adventure – heroes from pre-Flashpoint, pre-Zero Hour, and pre-Crisis. Some of these stories were action-packed and fast-paced, while others were more character driven. Some stories had happy and tragic endings, and some left readers with more questions than answers.
Part of the fun of picking up a new issue was looking at the covers. While the main covers were unique and eye-catching, the variants were really clever and fun. Artists Tony Daniel, Dave McKean, Jae Lee, Adam Hughes, Amanda Conner, Brian Bolland and Jill Thompson all had a hand in creating the dynamic covers. Rare sketch covers from artists like Greg Capullo, John Romita, Jr., David Finch, Ivan Reis and Billy Tangave fans hints about what lies ahead post-Convergence.
