In our article on October 14th, we announced that Batman co-creator Bob Kane would finally be receiving a star on the Walk of Fame in Hollywood, CA. This past Wednesday, Kane’s star was revealed with a whole lot of Bat-style fanfare.
Batman and Robin Cosplayers showed up to greet fans as they got an up-close view of the new batmobile featured in the new Batman v Superman movie. Director Zack Snyder was on deck to sign autographs and speak at the ceremony along with DC Comics co-publisher Jim Lee. Elizabeth Kane was there to witness the tribute to her late husband’s legacy as Batman was recognized by Guinness as having the most comic book character film adaptations in history.
The star is located outside the Guinness World Record Museum, and just a few paces from Adam West’s star, who portrayed the beloved Batman in the 1960’s TV series. Take a look at some of these great photos honoring a man that all Batman fans should bow down to, without Kane, Batman would not have been the hero we know and love.
